Disclosure: This game copy was bought by the reviewer. The reason for the sudden cut off at the end of the video was a power outage, not anything caused by the game.

You are awaken to reclaim the ancient undead territories, but a bunch of humans and orcs are in the way. Kill enemies, resurrect them as skeletons, and murder every soldier, building, and chicken to acquire your deeds. Really simple formula of gathering units, sending them to attack enemies, and using a couple of slotted abilities to make it easier. Combat can become repetitive due to the minimal complexity of the systems in play. You unlock unit statues back at your base once you kill enough of the unit, which makes it easier to deal with having your troops wiped out when you make a mistake. Secrets are scattered in the environment, there are a few guided puzzles to complete, and the entire experience is over in about four hours in terms of claiming all the available regions. Quests are also present with most being required to progress to other territories (extremely linear in that aspect).

Game runs smooth in the optimization department and the controls are rather easy to master. You unlock merchants to buy new equipment, level up with cards determining your build choice stat increases, and if you die, you just re-spawn at the base with the only noticeable penalty being unclaimed regions repopulated. Right now, it is a hard sell at $15 for a couple of hours, but I would recommend keeping an eye on this one.

Side note: Soundtrack is pretty good.
