Universe may end sooner than expected
The end of the Universe.
A recent study by Radboud University in the Netherlands suggests that the Universe could end much sooner than previously thought. Calculations indicate that the end of the cosmos could occur in 10⁷⁸ years, a significantly shorter number than the 10¹¹⁰⁰ years previously predicted.
The research is based on the theory of Hawking radiation, proposed by Stephen Hawking in 1975, which suggests that black holes can slowly decay rather than just grow. Scientists have applied this theory to other celestial bodies, such as white dwarf stars and neutron stars, and found that these objects could disappear much sooner than expected.
