We continue through a combination of outdoor, tribal, and alien/tech environments in this second installment. The game's environmental storytelling is easily what impresses me most above everything else.
I've realized that part of the reason I don't enjoy combat in this game as much as Doom or Quake is having too many weapons (or more specifically, too many ammo types): I end up paralyzed as to which weapons I should conserve vs. recklessly spend ammo for, because I don't want to make bad assumptions as to which ammo types will be the most readily available to refill.
However, it seems as if some levels pretty much give you some of everything if you spend time looking around; this was especially true in the last level I played through in this session, which I spent quite a while in before I understood the layout and found what I had missed.
