This segment is a lot tougher than it looks.

1:30 If this Lich gets a turn off I won't survive, even with my best setup. He has spells in many elements, including Physical, meaning there's no accessory/spell combination I can set up to keep him from one-shotting me. He also doesn't know any supplementary spells, like Tarnish, so he will absolutely kill me when he gets a turn (i.e. deal 250+ damage, violating my base-health requirement).

My only hope is to two-shot him. I thought I was going to be able to do that easily with my upgraded Shiny Nail, but he has a Ghost Hound equipped that gives him +15 Piercing defense. Instead I use this Fire/Sledgehammer configuration, just barely putting me within range.

After killing the Lich I couldn't remember if I needed to switch weapons or not to conserve DP. I'm still uncertain if I'll be using the Sledgehammer or the Shiny Nail for Nightmare. I probably should have killed the undead here with the Gold Nail, as it's my least valuable weapon.

At 4:33 I pull the lever that opens the door to the final save point, after Nightmare.

5:09 Since the Lich doesn't merit his own segment, I go ahead and use this as an opportunity to pick up the rest of the Cathedral's chests. I don't really need the armor but the shield here contains the game's final Morlock Jet, which will be crucial on Guildenstern.
