54In this Shelfside Unboxing, Ashton and Daniel ogle at the beautiful miniatures in this creepy game. In this expansion, there's the two new factions of the Shadow Paladin and the Armored Knight to add to the already large selection of factions found in the base game. Vast: The Haunted Hallways, is an expansion to the leder games (creators of Root and Pax Pamir) creation of Vast: The Mysterious Manor, in which players take on the role of one of many factions vying for their separate win condition in a haunted house. There's the paladin who plays a roleplaying/dungeon crawling style, who has to slay the spider, all the while being chased by skeletons who need to kill the paladin to win the game.
Vast: The Mysterious Manor has the mechanics of modular board, tile placement, and of course variable player powers. There are 5 factions that come in the box, all with their separate win conditions as they struggle for power in the arena of a single house. In addition, that game is combinable with the original, Vast: The Crystal Caverns, which is the fantasy predecessor to The Mysterious Manor.
Note: We filmed this much before the shelter-in-place, we aren't crazy and meeting up to film right now!
