Achieved on Insane difficulty on a Model 1 Genesis on September 9, 2023. The credits warp is activated by pausing the game at this specific location in Day 1: Terraport and inputting C, A, Left, Left, A, B, A, Down, B, A, B, Y, Down, Up, Mode, B, Start (which spells out CALL A BAD BABY DUMB). The speedrun therefore requires a 6-button controller due to using the Y and Mode buttons.

Finished the level with a 4:37 in-game time—I don't think it can get any faster than that. I suspect sub-28 seconds for the total speedrun time is possible though if you destroy the TV containing the bomb morph in a single stream of downwards shots, and not jet-boosting back up for a seconds pass. It's very hard to get as your shot timing and spacing needs to be almost perfect.

Chronoon/Waxhouse if you're watching this I think we should establish this as a misc. category on speedrun.com (kinda like how we have one for Kid Chameleon Any%), although I don't think separate categories for each difficulty like we have for the full-game runs would be necessary as difficulty affects virtually nothing in this run.
