Welcome to my review of Vinland Saga Season 1 which is a 24 episode anime series that adapts the first arc of the manga. Vinland Saga is set in Europe during the 11th Century with many different factions at war. The main protagonist, Thorfinn is a young boy hellbent on avenging his father's death while working for the very man that murdered him, Askeladd. This is a great series that has a lot of historical references, religious themes, great action, and I highly recommend it. At some point, I am going to have to get caught up with the manga, but I am excited for the second season which is releasing at some point later this year.
