Virtua Fighter 2! State of The Art Texture Mapping (Saturn)
3The original took the arcades by storm and was very successful. Virtua Fighter 2 amps things up to the next level with a massive graphical overhaul featuring texture-mapped 3D characters due to a crazy investment purchasing a military flight simulation processor. Nothing was close to looking like this for fighting games at the time. There wasn't much for story still, and the game remains mostly the same, but hundreds of new moves were added with new characters and stages. This is the Saturn port, which did an excellent job compressing so much data on to one disc.
