V:TM - Why were YOU embraced? (with Toreador Sire solo RP introduction)
To skip the solo RP segment, go to 9:30.
In this episode of the podcast we are talking about why characters are embraced in the Camarilla, how it happens, and what the motivations, preparations and consequences of an Embrace are for the Sire. Being embraced is not only a requirement of the game, for the player character, but in the context of the society of the undead, it is an important event.
If you stick around from the start, you will get to hear a slightly buzzed Toreador Sire and Keeper of Elysium who, at the request of her Child, tells him why he was embraced, without pulling more punches than absolutely necessary. She is quite protective of him and values him, but the paranoia of being "somebody" in Kindred society coupled with her struggle with humanity have left the Sire sounding quite uncaring (whether she really is like that or not). No matter, the Childe can weep away, feeling hurt, because his unbeating heart is bound in crimson chains. He will always find some justification to care for (maybe even love) his Sire, no matter how heartless or cruel she might seem.
Enjoy!
