Historically a match for its contemporaries by the start of the Second World War, the P-36A is a brilliant plane for Turn Fighting. Possessing a tight turn circle, decent roll rate and great acceleration between speeds of 250-350km/h, you can elect to fight or take flight at your own choosing.

To offset these strengths however, you have a severe control surface lock up at speeds of 400km/h or more, and so Boom and Zoom tactics are ill-advised unless you can make gradual, shallow passes. Moreover, the performance of this plane begins to fade away beyond 5000m altitude, yet at a BR 1.7, it is rather rare you will to venture above 3000m altitude.
