Just a look at another one of these Game Boy Color ROM hacks. This one my initial impressions weren't great. The author of the ROM hack himself said something along the lines of "it's nothing compared to the SML color hacks" and my first look at the ROM in an emulator had washed out background colors. The sky was so washed out when I was using shaders it looked plain white! Without the shaders it was more clear that the background was blue but it was still nowhere near as blue as on my real Q5 IPS GBC. This certainly isn't the first time I thought the backgrounds looked washed out in an emulator but yet looked full and rich on my GBC. Donkey Kong Country on GBC was a great example of that. But I'm glad I checked it out on my GBC first level aside the dark color backgrounds in some of the underground levels look great. This ROM hack does look pretty good overall and really only needs a few extra touches to put it at the top with other great hacks like SML2, Mega Man and Dr. Mario. I mean if they could at least get Wario's overalls to be purple that would be great. But otherwise it does look good, especially the in level backgrounds and certainly looks a lot better than playing the original GB version on a GBC. So it's worth checking out. If it never gets updated it's still worth having and if it does eventually get improved on that would be great.

Again, if anyone has an Analog Pocket do check this one out and let us know how that sky looks in level one. Does it look more like the emulator or more like my GBC?
