Hey everyone this is Thyworm and today, I’ll give you a summary of the patch notes for BFP2. Expect more detailed videos on individual components, such as Shroud Cages and how to get them, very very soon.

Introduction
Easymode mentions a reshuffle of the missions and assassination. Now more level 40+ missions are available. That’s great, because that means we can get some end game loot without grinding bosses. Apart from loot, this new mission block has many purposes. For Example, Crafting!

Crafting
Shroud Cages are introduced for crafting. They drop recipes, 100% of the time. To open a shroud cage, you need a petrified fog fiend which you can find in Assassinations. Shroud cages themselves spawn from time to time in lvl 41-50 Patrols, expeditions or assassination missions. If you encounter one and you got a petrified fog fiend, a battle takes place. If you win, you’ll be rewarded with a crafting recipe from the Shroud Cage.
There’s nothing in the patch notes about nerfing the amount of crafting materials required to craft items. I hope the devs nerfed the requirements a bit. If they didn’t, these Shroud Cages won’t be all that useful, because you won’t have enough materials to craft anyway.

Potency Points
There’s a new gameplay loop in place to earn additional Potency Points. This involves Idols of Wisdom, that can be found in lvl 41 to 50 patrols and expeditions. You need to activate these idols, by using a Talisman, which is in turn forged from multiple Wisdom Stones. These Stones, you can find in Threats. Once the idol is activated, a sort of small defense missions starts, you need to protect it for a certain amount of time, and if you succeed, you receive a potency point. You can earn up to 10 potency points per hero, using this system.

Fabled Weapons
The Fabled Forge, which can be found at Furun, requires an item to activate. These items are earned by doing Hunts. They’re called Sacred Offerings. Because Furun is a God, you know, so you need to offer him something Sacred in order to make use of his Forge. And kill him, I suppose. Hmm. Once you do, you roll one Fabled Power on a Legendary Weapon. Fabled Powers are very strong powers, gamechanging even, so they’re definitely worth getting. If the roll is not to your liking, you’ll have to farm more Sacred offerings and you can try again.

Legendary Powers
Apart from Fabled Powers, the old Legendary Powers also still exist. These are reworked, once again, and now each Legendary Weapon has their own Legendary Power. These are mostly focused on dealing damage and they come with visual effects. On top of this, the Legendary Weapons receive an upgrade in terms of exclusive stats, which are now unique to these Legendary Weapons and cannot be found on any other item in the game.
The devs want to implement this system for ALL legendaries in the game, and I’m sure they will, but for now, these overhauls are limited to Legendary Weapons only. Other Legendaries will follow, really soon.

Legendary Weapons
Legendary Weapons overall receive some buffs as well. This section in the patch notes is a bit ambiguous, but all these parts are exclusively about Legendaries. This means that Tier 5 Legendary Weapons, that’s level 41-50 legendaries, or legacy rank 6 and legacy rank 7 legendaries, can now have special stats that buff specific abilities. I can imagine for example that there will be a legendary out there for Kingewitch that buffs his Flamestrike ability, that comes with a bunch of fire and attack damage. Just to give an example.

Schools of Magic
Items can belong to a school of magic, and if you collect multiple pieces of the same school, you get stat buffs and visual effects. The more pieces you collect, the stronger the visuals and stats. 3 pieces reward you with an aura. 5 pieces get you visual effects around the hero. 8 pieces give you ethereal wings, because who doesn’t like wings?
