89With the tides changing in the industry, we retreat back to this question of subscription based models seemingly being the way of the future. There will always be an ala carte option for those who would rather own or purchase games, but increasingly digital gaming, and the rise of gamepass and similar gaming subscriptions mean a different business model is arising to replace the more traditional method. I find myself constantly confounded by the amount of content available, and also overwhelmed by how I could ever experience even half of it.
That brings me to gamepass, which is a great consumer friendly option to experience high quality content for a low price, but it also means more choices than I would ever be able to get to, hence why I don't subscribe anymore.
