Most Minecraft animations suck because most Minecraft Animators don't understand what it means to animate Minecraft. Whether you're staying faithful to the game or simply using it as an art style (Like I am for Levaslier), you still need to build a good understanding of basic realistic animation. This includes stuff like the 12 principles of animation, anatomy, kinematics, physics, etc.

To skip this step and jump straight into Minecraft Animation (which in and of itself is an advanced, limiting, art style), is to skip the foundations of a building and start decorating it.

Sure it may look nice on the outside but your weak foundation foreshadows your downfall.

Don't be lazy- Work, hustle, and practice,
Don't be ignorant or arrogant to criticism and feedback,
Don't be afraid to adapt and change because that's what development is.
