Wii Metroid Prime: Trilogy G36, 1st Campaign pt29: Grapple Beam acquired!
Having previously acquired the Power Bomb, it began to look like it was time to start heading back. Vid timeline:
(0:00) Intro an trying out the Power Bomb.
One thing I failed to notice in this gameplay was that destroyed enemies have the potential of dropping Power Bombs. Pick ups are slightly smaller and significantly brighter than the Yellow Life pick ups.
(6:13) Quarantine Access and plotting a course.
(9:12) Metroid Quarantine.
Doorway to Phazon infested area and skirmish with Metroids. I reached as far as I could go. No doubt the deepest and also most contaminated area of the Phazon Mines. I would need to find more power ups and equipment before I could venture down there.
(15:51) Spectral increase at Tallon Site and going back.
Increase in Chozo Ghost apparitions at Life Grove? Almost as if they found out I now have Power Bombs I can use to breach the indicated location. There's got to be another Artifact in there.
(22:24) Back at Omega Research.
Another Omega Pirate kill. It looks like there's two types of Super Pirates: the Omegas and the Elites. Due to their slowness, they so far haven't given me much trouble. But I have only been facing them one at a time...
I received a second Intel Transmission here: "Unique mining tech detected." Now, what can that be?
(31:53) Map Station Mines and continuing back.
Kinda late to get the Map now. However, I will be coming back for the lowest level of the Phazon Mines someday. And now I know that it looks like.
(42:45) View of The Crater.
(44:10) Back at Ore Processing.
Back at this location to check what that second transmission was about.
(55:58) Grapple Beam acquired!
Lord and behold, it turned out to be the Grapple Beam. Like when I acquired the Power Bomb, I was surprised a Boss of some kind or ambush waiting for me.
(57:13) Waste Disposal.
(58:18) Back at Main Quarry and Safe Station.
Back at the Main Phazon Mines area, plotting a course toward the sire of the first Intel Transmission.
Now with the Power Bomb and Grapple Beam in hand, new areas are going to be accessible along the way.
