Many lower-cost notebooks, laptops and tablets have resolutions of 1600 x 900. Truth be known, they deliver perfectly fine displays with very watchable resolution for apps and even videos.

Even my year-old Lenovo Yoga 13 can make use of this new setting in Windows 8.1

Just make this simple change and you can immediately get one more row of tiles. It may not be the 6 rows of your big high resolution display, but hey, more is better.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work on my wife's Ausus 1366 x 768 screen. So it's not available on every small resolution screen.
