Released as part of「PROJECT VELOCITY」, I am proud to present a newly preserved SCEE Preview prototype of WRC Arcade on PS1! This build is dated 13th August 2002, 3 weeks 1 day before the final PAL build, and features a modest amount of changes compared to the final game. Said differences include:

*INTROPAL.STR has a larger flash effect on the WRC logo at the end of the FMV compared to the final build.
*The 1P/2P UI logos are different, which are made of plain text saying "1P/2P" rather than the controller outline and number 1-2 seen in the final build.
*Both Announcers say "Portugal" when selecting the Bonus Track rather than "WRC" like the final build has, Portugal was dropped from the IRL 2002 WRC calendar despite being present in 2001 so they probably renamed the already mostly finished track to "Bonus Track" as a result.
*All courses use an earlier design for the checkpoints and race finish banners.
*All courses have changes to their sponsor ad banners, and several courses lack many of them. Spain only has two right at the start of the course if you reverse.
*Spain has colour shading differences throughout the course compared to the final build, with more of a greenish gray hue.
*Kenya has a different fence texture design that is not seen in the final game.
*The game disc features an earlier version of the Intro FMV named "INTRONTS.STR", which features a different music track seemingly by the main game composer as well as some editing differences within the last 5 or so seconds.
*The UDS Credits Special Thanks section is missing from the Credits.
*The license credit for "Thrill Me" by Junior Jack (used for the Intro FMV) is incomplete in the credits of this build, simply reading " 'Thrill Me' by Junior Jack appears courtesy of".
