In this Instant Action Supremacy match. I take the Clone Commando for a spin. But, are things easier when on the Galactic Republic side? Vid timeline:

I play as:

First Player: Galactic Republic Clone Commando.
Blaster: DC-17M Repeating Blaster
Abilities: Repulsor Blast, Battle Focus, Anti-Armor Attachment.
Boost Cards: Survivalist, Expert Weapons Handling, Battle Hardened.
Passive Abilities: N/A.

As an Enforcer type Reinforcement unit, the Clone Commando can absorb plenty of punishment. Unlike the more conventional Fortify ability found in other Enforcers, he's got Battle Focus. It offers a triple effect: reduces incoming damage by 25%, heals the Commando if he inflicts damage and finally, offers the former to allies within radius!

That all sounds good on paper indeed. But the Clone Commando has a weakness. He's got the longest Health Regeneration start up of all Reinforcement units.

Regarding offensive capabilities, he has his melee knife, Repulsor Blast and primary weapon to handle short to mid range situations.

At mid to long range combat, the lethality of his blaster drops considerably as I was able to experience in this open map.

Fortunately, his grenade launcher recharges quite quickly, allowing him to transform himself into an mobile artillery piece. With good aim, distant areas can be softened up for friendly forces.

The grenade launcher's firing arc is less and shot to target velocity is more than other grenade launchers. And while that limits the Clone Commando's ability to provide indirect fire support, it also means better accuracy at range.
