Hello again.

Another episode of Chimerian Squadron, another mission that's shorter than my fastest mission in UFO Defense LP. Getting rid of bombs was never so quick honestly.

This marriage of Bradford and Leslie was a good sight. I made a new friend in the face of his daughter, seen his old comrades from 2017 and beyond.

It would have been a mesmerizing experience. If not for the fact that we still had a clean-up task on our hands.

And what happened two days later was... disgustingly horrible.

While we continued to fight and capture more and more hostile aliens and ADVENT loyalists, it was still clear that we have a lot of work to do. ADVENT goons which were stationed in wilderness were easy pickings - this can't be said for the ones which were city-based. Even with ADVENT Network towers going offline in the entire world and troopers being in disarray, they still held the ground.

In one of cities, its name being Novosibirsk in the Old World maps (I think it was like that, not sure, that was over twenty years ago), Resistance cells were actually successful over ADVENT activity, ambushing the unsuspecting alien forces from corners and buildings. It was almost like we're going to liberate this city without a hassle.

That was a plan. And we didn't account for one thing - the aliens were smarter than we thought. And they had a backup card.

Novosibirsk had an underground complex related to bioresearch. There were tests on various lifeforms, how to advance them. Some of more troublesome civilians were also stored here - in obviously familiar form which we've witnessed in Blacksite.
What I don't understand is that why ADVENT had a place dedicated for storing cryogenically-frozen Chryssalids.

But it sure was handy, because the aliens realized just how much potential this spawning vat had.

And... let's cut it to one line - once they realized that they've lost, they have defrozen the Chryssalids and guided them to the surface.

What happened next is sickening, but that's the story for another time.

PS: I'd write the entire story here, Watchers and Commenters, but I received a really, REALLY bad message and I have to leave immediately. So that's why I'm separating this event into two parts.
