Sean Yakotka was born in less rich areas of Algeria, being confined in his own community by inability to move around.
Life in Algeria's countryside wasn't pleasant at all. Father of Yakotka suffered from constant illnesses, so young Sean had to start working at a young age, helping his parents with managing their farm - barely. Despite his not that pleasant childhood, Sean had grown attached to husbandry. Spending time with animals was quite a pleasure to him, especially with his family cows and bulls.
Education was a big problem as well, but Yakotka did get quite a decent elementary grade education... Until the Ethereals came during Enemy Unknown.
As a result of massive alien attacks on major cities, weather conditions in Africa as a whole worsened, with rampant desertification ravaging across the continent. Farm was no longer sustainable, so family had to leave the land and live in poverty, running dangerous jobs from time to time.
During 2020's, with his mother dying from poor health conditions, Sean was suggested by his father to join Resistance cells in order to get some supplies for them. Having lots of respect towards his parents, and his father being himself seriously ill, Yakotka did get inside one of Northern African cells. Even when his father had died from illness complications, Sean was still working within the Resistance.
Between TSE Episodes 1 and 4, Sean was travelling across the lands on orders of his Resistance cell, when, suddenly, he was found by a strange recon drone. This drone happened to be belonging to the Ally. Sean was captured and interrogated by the Ally and his own commander, Sagittarius. Thanks to Sagittarius, Sean was recruited inside the science outpost. The Ally reluctantly gave Yakotka the information about dimensional rifts, which did scare Sean, but he managed to handle all of it. Still, despite his and the Ally's different personalities, which do lead to conflicts, Yakotka prefers to work inside the best technologically-advanced place in the world, as well as knowing the truth means that he's soft-locked in being inside the organization of the Ally.
Sean loves cows, as they remind him of his tough, yet nostalgic childhood. He likes his parents, also he likes to boss people around. He dislikes those who don't value the nature. He hates aliens.
