XENA: Talisman of Fate - CPU VS CPU 1 VS 1 & 4 Player Free for All - All Chars - (N64/Project64 1.6)
So when I used the RetroArch Emulator the graphics weren't as great as on the Project64 Emulator Version 2.4, but unlike on the former the sound didn't stutter at all - it did however lag a lot on the Joxer-stage and when trying to play 4 VS 4 ROSTER battles.
When using the Project64 Emulator Version 2.4 the graphics were the best they can be but the sound would stutter all the time. In order to solve this issue with the sound I decided to uninstall the emulator and download an earlier version of it - namely version 1.6.
Version 1.6 of the Project64 Emulator did work fine with the game on maximum settings without the audio/sound stuttering. The graphics are still the best possible. So unlike version 2.4 the 1.6 had more options in the graphics-settings - you can pick many different resolution options with the hz-levels being different for each option. In order to solve the stuttering with the sound a 60hz 1920/1080p resolution had to be picked. With version 2.4 the 60hz option was outside of the area where you pick the resolution, while in 1.6 they were in the same area - so using 60hz didn't work on 2.4 but worked fine using 1.6.
The issue with 1.6 instead ended up being the Bandicam recording device which didn't sense the game running anymore. On 2.4 it sensed the game. I had to use Nvidia ShadowPlay when recording this video using version 1.6. This caused the video to be divided into many 20-minute parts instead of one big file at 1 hour 20 minutes. It's possible to assemble each part into one video-file using an editior like Filmora but that would take time. Instead I decided to upload shorter videos. The graphics would end up slightly worse if making one big file with an editior. I wanted them to be the best they can be.
So 1.6 is the better option when playing Xena: Talisman of Fate - but it's more difficult to record in the game using it.
I'm letting the CPU fight the CPU in 1 VS 1 and 4 Player Free for All.
I do own the N64 game that I managed to get a hold of like two years ago or so when someone sold a copy of it. It's a game that I remember really wanting in the store back in 1999 when I saw it but I never ended up buying it back then due to being dependent on my parents.
I used to love the TV-show even though I haven't seen all the seasons or episodes - only like 3-4 seasons out of five - and I did skip the filler episodes. The show has a lot of independent episodes that have no bearing to the overall story. I usually skipped all such episodes except the ones that had interesting characters like Joxer, Callisto and Aphrodite.
