Just when it was thought that Colony 9 could see years of peace after one year following the victory at Sword Valley, terror struck when new legions of Mechon suddenly invaded the colony, itself! Shulk, Reyn, and Fiora had to hurry back to their home to help fight them off!

You can just make one giant leap off where you are into the water below. Falling from such a height is always fatal, but as long as you land in deep water, you'll be fine. Everyone can swim in this game.
----------

Colony 9's people were not prepared for this at all. They had destroyed one of their Anti-Air Batteries, and Vangarre has to hurry to get his men into battle, but by that point, the Mechon were too overwhelming for them to handle.

Among this fleet was a much different, more menacing Mechon, one that was so tough that not even their best weapons could do anything about it. It slashed and destroyed another Anti-Air Battery.

Lastly, Dunban, still in an injuried state, tried to make a move to help out, as well.
----------

When Shulk and his friend returned to Colony 9 itself, it was outnumbered by the Mechon. They having killing innocent Homs, and sometimes even EATING them! They were ruthless in their destruction, and there was no telling when they'd stop.

Reyn orders Fiora to check up on her older brother Dunban while he and Shulk try to fight off the Mechon.
----------

Shulk & Reyn's weapons are useless against a Mechon, but a way around this is to Topple them.

First, Shulk must use his pink Stream Edge art to inflict Break on the Mechon, then while it's still in that state, Reyn can knock it down using his green Wild Down art.

When a Mechon is Toppled, it can be properly damaged and destoyed, but you must act fast as its Topple condition won't last long.

Besides, it looks like the game doesn't even let you destory it entirely.
----------

Fiora comes back, and panics because Dunban's not in their house!

Shulk suggests going to the Weapons Development Lab to pick up the Monado to have a better fighting chance against the Mechon.

At that point, you should really just focus on doing that rather than wasting time fighting more Mechon. It can drag on.
----------

When the get close to the lab in the Millitary District, Vangarre's men were running from their lives, yet the colonel himself was fearless, even against that massive... metal-faced Mechon.

It would seem that this fearlessness would cost Vangarre his life, unfortunately, as he was pinned down and then ran over about a tank that the metal-faced Mechon picked up and threw at him, which also made the tank explode.

Shulk's team found the damage, but couldn't find the colonel. That's when Reyn got angry and swore his revenge on those malicious machines. That tank also blocked the entrance to the lab, but Shulk thought about using the mobile artillery in the Residential District to knock away the heavy debris.

But on their way there, they were surrounded by even more Mechon. Shulk & Reyn were forced to battle them all while allowing an opening for Fiora to escape through.
----------

Same as both, let Shulk Break, then let Reyn Topple. The Mechon you fight here are small fries, so you can take them out fast once you've got a good rhythm going.
----------

The duo were able to take down some of the Mechon, but that was still too little compared to the larger number of Mechon that still surronded them.

Yet another Anti-Air Battery was destory as more Mechon stormed in to give them a harsh time.

Suddenly... Dunban appeared! And he had the Monado with him!
----------

Set Dunban as the leader for the next section. Use the Monado he wields to make much quicker work against the Mechon than you have been before.

The fallen Anti-Air Battery blocked the trio's way to the Residential District to meet up with Fiora, so they instead had to reach there through the Commerical District.

As Fiora was getting away, she some sort of mech that could be used for combat...
