Xenoblade DE: Future Connected: Part 3: Picking Up Ponspectors
4Along the way towards Alcamoth, Shulk, Melia, and their new Nopon friends headed towards Cragmaw Caverns.
They encountered another Nopon at the cavern entrance. One dressed as a scout. His name is Tentoo of the Ponspectors! An elite team of Nopon from Frontier Village that survey different lands across the fallen Bionis. He and 11 other Ponspectors have appeared on the Bionis' Shoulder to survey its own entirety. However, their Chief Wunwun forgot to give them all a spot to regather back altogether. Tentoo would try to look for them, himself, but with the Shoulder crawling with dangerous monsters... that's much easier said than done.
Tentoo knows of some of the locations of the Ponspecters now, but those may have some ideas of the rest. They seem like a cowardly bunch, but when push comes to shove, they WILL give their all!

There are 12 Ponspectors to find in total. As you take the time in this game to find them, one of them will eventually show you the locations of more.
Ponspectors come in three different team based on the color of the banner their carry around, and each team has their own signature move that they may use in a battle:
- Red team members specialize in aggressive Offense.
- Blue team members specialize in Defense and Healing.
- Yellow members specialize in Debuffs.
The higher tension they have, the more likely they will use these moves in a match, but their tension will wear down over time.
If you can recruit at least one member from each team, you will unlock a brand new special attack that you can use a full Party Gauge with, but I'll get to that in the next video.
To recruit a Ponspector to begin with, you not only have to find them, you then have to complete a Side Quest to help them get themselves together or at least consider you worthy to follow.
And they literally WILL. Every Ponspector will follow you through the field, though this can be toggled off if you want.

A good portion of this video is focused on exploring more of the Bionis' Shoulder to look for some of these Ponspectors and helping them out with their problems.
The first one after Tentoo is the Yellow Tei-Tei. I help him look for a charm at Nerthis Necropolis.

Coming out the other side of Cragmaw Caverns, Melia had a moment of self-reflection about the her thoughts on the world after Zanza's actions. She mourned for those that were still recovering from those times.
Her friends had to remind her of the work she has done to help those people have a chance at healing their wounds, and it reminder her of how both her late brother and their late father appointed her as the hope of the High Entia.
This lifted Melia's spirited and encouraged her to continue towards Alcamoth.

Another Ponspector I help is the Yellow Evelen. You recruit her after killing a Whapol Sardi nearby that ate her snack, and then gather some Morrow Cob for her.
I recruit the Blue Dekadeka automatically but rescuing him from some hungry slobbering Antols.

Remember, not all Ponspectors will be marked on the map immediately. If you want to see more, you'll have to find the ones that are marked, first. Find enough of them, and they will try to mark more.
