The organization has to make a push now because we are on the brink of losing governmental backing. We will need to eat the costs of laser technology, miniaturizing it for our infantry assets. We do not know what had happened at that base, but we do know that we were not ready to assault it. There are volunteers from the militaries of the world, but we have been under scrutiny for what are deemed to be unnecessary deaths. Every phone call is crushing, but it is generally assumed that this is our last hope against the aliens. Military outposts have been brushed aside, it is our capacity to adapt alien technology that at least gives us a chance against them. The aliens have learned of our interrogation

The humans now are aware of our clones, no amount of diplomatic nuance will allow us to persuade them that thralldom will not be the fate of the human ruling class. Now there can only be conquest and perhaps full enslavement. We will still be able to extract their DNA in fact altering it will be part of the servilization process. Unfortunately, we cannot keep a population of natural humans in reserve after we conquer Earth. One less client people to appease in our empire. One less client that may go against the high command's directives. There can only be total war now.
