Little do the grunts know that the command structure of the Xenonauts is being taken to task by multiple polities. In their zeal to rid the Earth of an alien threat, they haven't been managing their funds properly. More puzzling to the funding nations is the notion that this misallocated money has not even provided a full air defense return of funding nations. The soldiers, scientists, and engineers have been performing their jobs well. However, mismanagement at the top levels of the organization threatens whether or not this organization succeeds in its purposes or not. The top brass argues that the world cannot spare any expenses, but now has been grounded into the gritty reality of the situation. The aliens are similarly grounded by the realities of war.

The alien high command is surprised at how well this species has adapted to their offensive. The main effort will fare much better than this initial probing of Humanity's defenses. Even the high command is under the impression that they need to adapt to succeed against the Human infestation. This seems like a drawn out conflict, but what can a species like this do against the capacity to clone?  Well unfortunately, cloning costs the empire energy or for lack of better terminology money from a resource perspective. This was supposed to be a clean takeover, but now the empire is committed. Now for some clerical notes.

The fact that the commentary went silent was crushing. However, I will finish out the series despite it being tainted in a way.
