2022.01.23. First video of a series that started with showcasing the creation of a simple engine from scratch within the MonoGame (XNA) framework. This showcases the following:

- player fighter
- fighter shoots bullets, with bullet limit and auto fire
- camera motion in relation to player
- enemy manager and spawner
- variant enemy behaviours
- player bullet and enemy collisions
- enemy death
- arena drawn by tiled sprites
- arena boundaries respected
- consistent user input via multiple methods: mouse + keys + gamepad
- variable frame rate
- font rendering
- multiple pixel fonts
- player, bullet, enemy, tile, border pixel art
