You Are Empty Beta / Unused Content: Levels
1171. Unused part of the Kolhoz level. Apparently, originally the developers planned to do a longer intro for the Kolhoz, and made the geometry for it. I think the intro would look more interesting if they made it as planned. Thankfully, all files from the early uncut version of the intro were not deleted from the game, so it's possible to restore the intro and see it:

2. As you can see, in You Are Empty water reflections were created by hand by the level designers. In the end of the video you see that reflection is different from what's actually on the shore, so it's likely that this reflection shows a glipmse into the earlier version of the level.
You Are Empty is a great game, its excellent level design, atmosphere, great music and photorealistic graphics make it a second Half-Life 2. The game takes place in the Soviet Union. The scientists ran an experiment which would make people better. Something went wrong, and most people turned into monsters. The player managed to avoid the transformation, and now he must find a way out.
