Vertically scrolling shmup with some cool power-ups for both weapon and missile, with rapid fire! Yep-- just hold down the button and waste enemies. Unfortunately, this is an early example of bullet hell.. well before Cave shooters and the like made it a thing, but still very difficult to get far in this game except for seasoned shmup players. As was the usual with shmups, destroying certain enemies releases a floating power-up that shuffles colors (Blue= laser, Yellow= spread, Red= fireballs). But also, a missile power up can be released (Blue= 4 way, Green= Homing missile show,er, Purple= Vertical missile shower). The missiles fire whenever you fire your regular weapon. Other items that can be released from destroyed enemies are bonus point items (white star on blue background), Max shot (fills your weapon power to the maximum), a 1up (very rare), and an extra bomb (your secondary weapon, and you can really stock up on these). I recommend you power up the laser to maximum-- even though it takes an extra second to fire again, it pack a big ol' punch and can speed up the boss fights. Not too bad a shmup with good music and power-ups, but might be too hard for some to enjoy. Created by Allumer (makers of 1986's GLADIATOR) and licensed to TECMO.
