Rather meh vs. fighting game (sequel to SHOGUN WARRIORS, though this one is done in motion capture-like graphics ala Mortal Kombat), set in Feudal Japan-era. Pick from 9 different fighters-- including ninjas, samurai, a kunoichi, a Buddhist monk, a turtle demon, and a Kabuki warrior. Each has 3 or 4 special moves, and the buttons for fighting are weak and strong punch and weak and strong kick for a total of 4. To throw an opponent you must be close and press towards and both kick buttons.. weird. There is a 2nd bar below your life bar-- take damage to fill it up. This will make your special attacks more damaging to the opponent the higher this bar gets filled. At the conclusion of a fight you've won, you can deliver a fatality-type move.. and it's very simple to pull off. Either execute (heh) one of your special moves, or just press a button. You'll pull off one of 3 finishing moves (and all characters have the same results for theirs), which will slice them in half vertically, slice them in half horizontally, or just turn them into a pile of blood and entrails (and maybe a head). Gross! Not terribly interesting or innovative. No boss characters and a lame ending further make this title one to pass on.
