Rather broken, blah beat-em-up with (obviously) ancient Arabian trappings. Sprite scaling is (clumsily) used in this game, reminiscent of PIT-FIGHTER 2 years prior. Other clumsy moments in this game involves your character getting pushed around or maybe temporarily pushed off screen by the forced scrolling, and the sound effects/voices that loop as you go to the next section of a stage! You can choose from 4 different characters (or play all in simultaneous play): the adventurer SINBAT (!), the Gypsy-like woman RAMAYA (sister of the Princess Lurana you must rescue), the fighter GOLDOR, and the monk DATTA. Each character has the typical life-draining special attack from pushing both jump and attack buttons, but you can also utilize magic attacks from collecting magic lamps. You can cast around 6 different magic attacks, but oddly enough the magic attack cast will depend on where in the game you are, not by how many lamps you collected-- and collected lamps are lost once you exit a part of the stage! But the magic attacks are IMHO the highlight of the game, since you usually get a cool anime-style sequence of your character casting the magic attack. They include a water-based attack, a fire-based attack, a thunder-based attack, miniature versions of yourself, flying genies, etc. Boss fights or mini-boss fights take place and the ability to get close and throw your opponent is something you might want to explore here, as it's a handy-dandy way to reduce the opponent's energy with one throw. The emulator MAME may be at fault for at least some of the glitchy/unfinished feel of the game, but it's still not a very good fighting game IMHO.
