A playthrough of the sub-boss Ultron Omega in the PC/Steam version of Capcom’s Marvel vs Capcom Infinite.

A huge, huge thanks to user GodShin for the values for this game.
Ultron-Sigma moves:

Qcf + LP or HP (air): Lasers
Qcb + LP or HP: Energy ball
Qcf + LK or HK (air): Charging grab
Qcb + LK or HK (x2): Sigma-saber strikes
D, d + LK or HK: Saber launch

Qcf + LP + HP (air): Super Lasers
Qcb + LP + LP: Paralyzing Orb
Qcf + LK + HK (lvl 3): A fuckton of Lasers.

Qcb + LK + HK: Floating

The sub-boss of the game, Ultron-Sigma is…pretty badass, actually. He plays like a regular character, has a fantastic moveset, and above all else his design is legit badass. The purple colouring, Sigma’s face appearing in the armour itself; I’m genuinely surprised something which looks this good appears in this game.

Ultron-Sigma is damn fun to play as, and the fact that he isn’t playable is…suspicious, actually. He deals less damage in human hands, and even has an unused call-out when being tagged into. Did Capcom just give up on making him playable? It appears they actually did. What dicks.

Ultron-Sigma is basically a powered-up version with Ultron with some of Sigma’s moves too. The latter’s moves you wouldn’t really know, because they made Sigma a DLC character in this game. One of the main villains. A DLC character. It begs belief, it really does. Move-wise, he functions like a regular character with your usual ground-to-aerial combos and the like. He has Ultron’s lasers, a somewhat useless energy ball attack, this awesome charging grab which can also be used in the air (and can deal damage to a falling opponent), as well as a couple of variations on Sigma’s laser-sword attacks, including one which launches the opponent into the air and the other when the input needs to be done twice for a follow-up saber strike. He also has the ability to float, but this doesn’t last very long so it isn’t too useful, as well as the ability to teleport which I couldn’t figure out the input for. All in all though, Ultron-Sigma has a shit ton of combos at his disposal, some great special moves, a couple of good projectile attacks, and in general is actually both a damn good and a damn fun character to play as. Not much to it other than that, really. I’m surprised they didn’t just keep him as the final boss, or just make a final boss-variant where he’s even more powerful, and make this version unlockable in some way. Lord knows what goes through Capcom’s head nowadays. All in all, actually quite a good boss, but definitely not worth buying the game to play as.

Also, holy fuck, those T-poses on the winner screen never failed to make me laugh.

Next up, lets look at some more unplayable characters.
