#1048 Tatsunoko vs. Capcom (Wii) Bosses (2/3): Yami (2nd Form) playthrough.
A playthrough of the 2nd form of the boss Yami in the Wii port of Capcom/Eighting’s Tatsunoko vs Capcom.
Yami’s 2nd form almost looks more like the one I’d expect for his 3rd form, given that he looks more innately humanoid than prior. This is actually probably the most basic of Yami’s forms, with quite limited moves and only one super. His super [qcf+PP] works much like Magneto’s super in X-Men Children of the Atom, where it does more damage the closer the opponent is to Yami, and does a kind of progressive amount of damage as the opponent is knocked back towards the edge of the stage with each subsequent hit. 2nd form Yami also has the same missile attack as the other two forms [qcf+P], which can be spammed against the opponent and will allow Yami to hit them with his Medium attack, for what little that’s worth. Spam it enough times however and you can get into hell of a spam-combo with it, it’s really quite brutal. Gotta love hidden brokenness like that. His Heavy attack also hits twice low, and tends to pull the opponent towards you. Which, of course, means that it can be linked into his super for more damage than he would usually do. Other than that, he’s easily the most basic of the three bosses, but admittedly the middle form of a three-form boss is usually the most forgettable. Still pretty competent on the whole however.
Next up, it’s the last we’ll see of Yami.
