Hatching a Scheme

Special mission from the Guardian Errant... Defenders of the Egg (another Gorn Elite Organization) has called a secret meeting with the Orions in the [X] System. As they are mortal enemies, we'd like to know what the meeting is about. Go deep scan all three asteroids around the planet to activate the listening devices there. If the Orions show hostile intent, destroy ALL OF THEM!
NOTE: You also cannot allow any Gorn ships to be destroyed.
We approached the closest asteroid, and as we got close enough we got word that listening device has been activated. We went to scan another one, and we got broadcast that the Queen Mother had been kidnapped?!?!?! We increased speed toward the third asteroid while heading toward the Orion ships as well. We passed by the third asteroid and activated that, then continued.
We got word that the Queen Mother had been returned. Okay... but the Orions still have to die...
We went at top tactical speed (about 20-26) and in the distance, one Gorn frigate blew up, then two Orion ships left the area by hitting the sector border. We turned to engage the two remaining Orion ships, and blew them apart. We scanned the sector, then departed the sector as well.
Upon return, we got a rude awakening. Despite the safe return of Queen Mother, she was... dead? And somehow because we weren't close enough to kill the Orion ships that escaped, or prevent the destruction of the Gorn frigate, our membership in the Guardians Errant has been... terminated.
