The Conservatory Of Piano, located in Worthington, Ohio is a piano teaching organization which largely involves lessons for children, teenagers, and a few adults, through the primary and intermediate phases of piano instruction.

I served as one of the organization's least talented pupils between 1st and 6th grade.

Each year, we would have an annual recital, involving each of the Conservatory's students who elected to become involved.

The half-way point of the recital was typically filled by a light-hearted comedy routine, courtesy of four of the conservatory's teachers, and relegated under the name "Tape-Change Quartet".

In 1985, the group played a little comical rendition of "There's No Business Like Show Business", which they entitled "Business As Usual".

During the course of each quartet session, it was customary for one of the teachers to serve the role of "designated goofball", indulging in a series of Victor Borge - style antics throughout the performance. On this particular year, the honor fell to Robert Taite, who was also my piano instructor between 4th and 6th grade.
