SmartTVs are coming of age. So is the gesture-controlled living room, which will soon become a reality. Encouraged by the phenomenal success of Microsoft's Kinect, computing giants(e.g., Asus, Intel, Lenovo) and TV manufacturers (e.g., LG, Samsung), are rolling out gesture-controlled media centers, set-top boxes and SmartTVs.
Throughout this session, we'll discuss the potential of this emerging market, the implications for casual games developers and best practices how to build gesture-controlled games which are compelling, exciting and fun.
Delivered at Casual Connect Europe, February 2012.
