Royal Signals troops from Germany are joining the NATO operation. 60 soldiers serving in Elmpt with 7 Signal Regiment's 231 Squadron, will spend the next six months providing communications and IT support to the ISAF Joint Command Headquarters in Kabul. They include one married couple, who say they won't get to see much of each other once they get to Afghanistan.
