So here's Fighting Vipers 2, a game rather dear to my heart. This is the second and final game in this unfortunately rather short-lived series, which is an incredible shame because I thought this was definitely one of the more fun, quirky and enjoyable fighting games out there.
FV2 has the entire cast of the first game come back, along with Mahler as a regular playable character, and adds two new characters, Charlie and Emi, who are shown off during the first two stages of arcade mode. They're both pretty great additions, I think. The arcade version also contains three boss character, two of which are time unlocked. The first character to focus on however is the unplayable boss BM, who returns from the first game sporting a whole new, much cooler design, but is still as cheap and as powerful as ever. His moves list doesn't seem particularly changed, which is good, as all his cheap combos from the first game return. He's just a great boss, difficult admittedly though, and even more fun to play as. I remember playing a ton of this game when I used to live in Dubai, and in 3 years I only ever made it to BM once, so I can't deny that this is a little cathartic for me.
My apologies for the slowdown, but Model 3 emulation still isn't perfect, and unfortunately hasn't been worked on for years it seems. I'm still highly appreciative to those who have created Supermodel however, and allowed us to play many of the gems from my childhood.
------------
To play as BM in the arcade version, I had to hack the character values using artmoney to find the character address, and then freeze the value of BM in place to force the game to allow me to play as him.
Here are some character values of the game to help you out, as well as the values for the bosses:
00 - Emi
01 - Bahn
02 - Picky
03 - Jane
04 - Raxel
05 - Mahler
11 - Del Sol
12 - Kuhn
13 - BM
