Икар 64 (Icarus 64): Part 1
The Icarus is a "household computer" (бытовой компьютер) that was first built in the Ukrainian SSR, and then independent Ukraine (1991-1993) ... as far as I can tell. I have serial number 202 from 1992.
Researching the ТУ number (ТУ-92-05502-014-90) and the symbol seems to indicate it belonging to Харьковский Завод "Электроприбор" ... Kharkov Plant "Electrical Devices" ... ?
It is a ZX Spectrum clone with 64KB of RAM (eight 64Kbit КР565РУ5Г). It uses a genuine Zilog Z80 CPU and all the remaining parts appear to be Soviet-era including the 8255 clone (КР580ВВ55А).
The keyboard is a touch-sensitive membrane type and includes all (?) of the usual Spectrum keywords (not usually included on these types of machines).
It has some interesting ports: a 5-pin DIN male (instead of female) socket for +5VDC power input and a DB32 (?) type expansion port. The expansion port has three rows of 11/10/11 pins ... I've not been able to find this plug so far ...
The video output appears to be the following:
Pin 1 = red
Pin 2 = green
Pin 3 = blue
Pin 4 = synch
Pin 5 = ground
It also has two DE9 joystick ports (instead of the usual DIN), a tape recorder and audio out (I think?) ports. They also managed to squeeze in a SECAM TV modulator port.
I managed to power the machine by creating a USB power cable, however there appears to be a RAM issue so some troubleshooting will be required.
