Электроника 407 (Elektronika) Television: Part 2
A quick fiddle - I poke around the power supply and then power it on separately via 12VDC power supply. Nothing too exciting.
The power supply is dated 1979 and interestingly I spotted at least two Western parts - a bridge rectifier from AEG and a TI BD242B power transistor. I've never seen a Soviet packaged bridge rectifier - I'm not saying they never existed, but in my limited experience I've only ever seen four discrete diodes being used.
I'm assuming the power supply takes in 220VAC, rectifies it and then regulates to 12VDC. Mine is missing the fuse holder, and it looks to have a scorched resistor so not too keen on powering it on ... might bypass it completely and just run from 12VDC.
So I did power it on using straight 12VDC. It does seem to work ... initially the image did fade, but it came back and seemed to hold steady, drawing between 800mA and 1.2A.
Not sure what I'll do with this as it's designed for SECAM broadcasts and doesn't have any baseband video input option at the moment.
