Corebreaker is a Sci-Fi Sidescroller Action RPG Roguelite where you dash and blast through a random tech dungeon.
Blast the bots, dodge the shots, get the bits.

Jump, Blink and Blast:
The combat in Corebreaker is fast, as your character is very mobile.
You have a free double jump, right off the bat, along with unlimited dashing, even one upwards dash.
You can even dash through shots to avoid the hit, so the game really rewards quick reflexes.
You also have unlimited wall jumping and sliding, and you can jump off bots heads to get a boost; nice.

If you do get hit, you can find hp in the heart rooms, just clear it to get your heart back.
There are Ammo rooms too; that grant +25% more ammo to upgraded weapons.

Also, you can teleport to previously cleared rooms on the map; like in Enter the Gungeon; good, as this cuts down dead time.

Blast Da Bots; Get Da Bits:
Blast the bots: they drop the bits.
Use the bits to buy new weapons for the run at the Weapon Shops, where you pick 1 of 3 offers for your bits.
When you empty the upgraded weapon, you drop it, and pull out your default pea shooter again; it’s better than nothing.

There are also powerful with-in run upgrades available at the Upgrade Shops.
Think +20% increased speed, or +1 hp.
The hp values are low here, so each extra hit you can take really adds up.

The bits auto fly to you after the room is clear, so no worries of them blinking off into the either, or being stolen by some sort of mecka loot goblin!
Curse you mecka loot goblin!

Meta Progression:
After each run, you are awarded Yellow Coins.
These are used to unlock powerful Meta Progression Power-ups.
Think more hp, a 2nd weapon slot, powerful upgrades like that, that most will likely need to beat the game, as the game was likely balanced with these upgrades in mind.
Therefore, Corebreaker is firmly a Roguelite, not a roguelike; something to keep in mind.

Controller Support is present, and good, as is good old Mouse and Keyboard.
As a 2d Sidescroller, Corebreaker just felt best with a gamepad in hand, so that is mostly what I used above.

Note: This is an early look at the demo for Corebreaker so any bugs or other oddness is not representative of the final product.
Still, Corebreaker is a SciFi Sidescroller Action RPG Roguelite where you dash and blast through a random tech dungeon, and is easily worth a wishlist and a watch if you like sidescrollers.
