Part 7: Miracle Mirage

It took so long to be in the desert and, oh man

w7-1: Dusty Desert - This level is long, very long, and on top of that, is a puzzle, where you juggle items, feed yoshi, and backtrack for more items, want more? there's a boss on this level, it's not enough? it has a fish generator, want more? it has a regular big boo, and if you happen to die here, you need to re-do the entire puzzle AGAIN. This is one of the levels that needed an additional checkpoint in the boss door. Secret exit is fine, i would say fun but you need to wait sometimes, still good tho.
w7-3: HOT! HOT! DESERT! - This level has an interesting concept, sadly i'm not a big fan of it's execution. The level is an illusion, it has items that seems friendly but are deadly. the hints of what is good or bad is subtle, second section by example, i didn't noticed that there's a different box in a row of five that probably had a mushroom or something. But regardless, this level is fine
w7-4: Flying Objects Sea - The first instance of a live farm, and yes, i'm gonna return here later. First half is a traditional water level, nothing crazy, second section is yet another instance of "Bring this Item all the way to the end", this seemed to be a popular thing in this collab back in 2010, and if not, then, whoops. just fine
w7-2: Starry Nights - Yet, another level that seemed promising and went downhill, specially with the secret exit. Level it's built in a way where you are in your toes most of the time with a bunch of enemies in it, hammer bros., boomerang bros., boos, plants, and more, it's challenging and i like that, secret exit is another story, For one, it has a lot of hammer and boomerang bros. including Boo Rings, Regular boos, and other kind of enemies, the catch? There's a phanto chasing you as soon as you grab the key, and let me tell you, this section is brutal, wheter is for the enemies, for waiting the 3 boo rings, or just because the level throws you more phantos, this is challenging, but is more so because you are in constant danger and with little safe spaces, i tried to cheese this thing a few times and it seemed to work, so i just kept trying. Decent level overall
w7-Fortress: Spinning Sand Castle - This level intro is weird to look at, the palette is not the best, it's all gold like, but that aside, this fortress is fantastic, it's nothing ground breaking but it's not a bad level either, it uses the thwomps in a unique way if i can say that, making you spin jump on them and using them as obstacles where you are forced to spin jump, and the final room, good, a bit tiresome but good
w7-5: Panic Puzzle - Another puzzle level, and what do you think, it's an actual puzzle level, or at least more puzzle than the two levels in world 6. Here's the deal, hope you like fast music everytime you enter a room bebcause the running hell is gonna get faster and faster, and here's the other thing, collect every Yoshi Coin, they are not optional, they are mandatory to beat the level. Other than that, the only gripe i have is the music speeding up, it may be intentional but it's my main complain
w7-6: SS Cotopaxi - Sunken Ship level, and it's a mix bad of emotions, Layer 3 has a current that puzhes you back, and the enemies get on the way, talking specifically about one clam, the autoscroller section is a bit more fast reaction oriented with enemies to deal on top of, it's a good level but the setups holds it a bit for me
w7-House: In and Out! Boo Circles - This level is a disaster, want to know why? You need to do all this in one shot, no midpoint, one shot, everything, died at the very end? whoops, do it all over again, this level is a mess, i appreciate the item babysitting puzzle number 967894 but come one, give me a proper checkpoint damnit. An ok level
w7-7: Ara's Desert Serac - Hey, it's the VIP sprites, this hack was meant to be a VIP themed hack but they didn't reskined these sprites, level is fine, and the use of these VIP things is ok, it can be annoying to be stunt locked but it's fine
w7-Castle: USE YOUR ILLUSION - A unique castle, using the layer 2 as ground, you need to use the L and R Buttons to adjust these or to be able to pass them, it's a good concept, a bit bad executed but tolerable, the boss seems to be more RNG focused tho

And that's world 7, and you can tell even more this aged, and there's still 2 worlds left
