This game again, yet again, not what you signed up for but eh. Neo Bomberman, it was one of my favorite bombermans as a kid, but things have changed.

The story? Bomberman and pals were having a tournament of some sorts, when suddenly Bagura/Buggler/Mr. Villain dude captured everyone and it's up to Bomberman to fix this mess again. And you also need to save Pretty Bombebr because, reasons idk, she was one of the bad guys in the Super series but what do i know. You explore 5 areas, each with 7 stages (8 with the obligatory boss). Upon completing world you get more story, a nice thing but these fragments are short, and in the end you rescue pretty and she goes away, then the credits roll abruptly.
That's for story, and man this game is weird in that aspect, Let's start some complaining shall we? Why is Pretty the damsel in distress? Why the credits roll suddenly? why didn't Pretty returned to participate in the Tournament? If you go to Battle mode she is not present, this ties with Pretty just leaving at the end of the game, then why she was there? Who knows. Ano0ther thing i feel weird is again, the sudden credits roll, It's odd how abruptly the credits show there's no smooth transition or anything, it just starts. Was there supposed to be more? was this game somewhat rushed? again, who knows

Gameplay is the same as the Super Games, destroy blocks, get power-ups, find the portal, move on. The only "New" thing may be the ridable enemies, as they are not Loiues but just regular enemies, other than that this game is a downgrade in terms of "Content", talking specifically of power-ups. No Punching glove, no more than 5 flames, no more than 5 bombs, no special bombs from Super Bomberman 5, etc. Regardless, this game is still enjoyable don't get me wrong, but comparing it to the previous games it's lacking content, it may be because it's the Arcade and it needs to be "Difficult" and the items can make the game more easy than it is

Graphics are very good i give it that, every sprite is good to look at, as well as some stages.
Music is a bit forgettable if I'm being honest, some of the tunes are not more than a 20 seconds loop track, and sometimes they don't even loop correctly, so this game music is just not really on par with earlier games im afraid, yet again, this is my personal opinion

Overall this game is still good, it's not very long but not much Bomberman games are anyway, you can squeeze some fun out of it. This was my favorite from quite some time but that has changed ever since, it's not a bad Bomberman game, i still come back to it from time to time, but not like the older titles on the Super Nintendo
