Part 1: It's a thing alright?

Hack: A Super Mario Thing Demo's Journey
Author: Talkhaus
Difficulty: Very Hard
Release Date: 2010

Remember 2010? I don't, but in that year, one forum gathered to create a Mario thing for the man itself, Raocow. Started in 2009 and finished in 2010, this hack has a lot of... "effort", yeah, it's a product of its time, after all this was released in more "Simplier" times, where level design wasn't as polished as it is today, now, i shouldn't go too hard on this hack right? after all it was done in a different time, right? well, no, if Brutal Mario somehow get's bashed for how "poorly" it aged, it's only fair to bash this one just as hard if not more hard, but anyway.
Story:
Demo's Master wants vegetables, and it's your duty to bring them, but in the process something goes wrong, now you also need to recover your teleport device and bring vegetables

w1-0: And Then There Was a Resistance Base - Your standard Yoshi House with a twist, there's an underground civilization, this can take up to 10 minutes to read everything, and has in-jokes from Raocow. Some texts don't really add to the story, but it may be worth checking them out
w1-1: Ans So It Began - This world is mostly beach themed, surprising since every hack takes off from Grass levels. This level is also athletic, so it's not your usual starter level at all, and it's very nice
w1-2: Water Water Everywhere - Another odd level, this time is water themed, not underwater, but water themed, this one makes you bring one P-Switch to the very end, not very hard but interesting, but this is just the beginning of the use of the P-Switch.
w1-3: Crossroads to the Red Switch - This level has a ton of hills, not much to say about this one, it's fun to platform from hill to hill, i'll be coming back for the Secret Exit later
w1-4: I Need To Breathe! - 100 second stage, i had fun on this one, rushing quickly to the top avoiding hazards and stuff, cool stage
w1-5: The Worms' Cave - Cave level, for the first half this level is okay, then after the midpoint it repeats the same setup for a corridor, jump over a muncher yoshi at least 5 times, next, there's 2 semi blind jumps so, yeah, overall just okay
w1-Castle: Charlie's Glue Factory - A very nice castle, making fun at the glue factory made from horses (I believe), and it's not hard, and it's short, a good way to end this first world

And that's the first world, it has some issues here and there but it's not that big of a deal, just wait untli a few more worlds
