I made this video just a few months before I had gotten bored of Minecraft, but then not too long after that I had discovered Feed The Beast and the countless mods playable through it and have never really looked back. Even as I edit this near the end of 2017, I still play modded Minecraft quite a bit as a means to relax.

Still, it's neat to think back to all the fun I had with this game with virtually no mods installed. :)

Additional Information and Corrections:

* For the extremely small number of you who have no idea what Minecraft is, point your way over here: http://www.minecraft.net

* X is another person here on YouTube who created a series of Minecraft related videos when the game was still early in development called "X's Adventures in Minecraft". Although he hasn't been active too much as of late, all of his old Minecraft videos are still online and can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/user/davidr64yt

* One thing I failed to mention is that I've always played the game on Hard skill. My worst enemy in the old days of Minecraft, without mods, was lava, as I would routinely get knocked into it by just some random enemy I didn't even know existed. Nowadays with tons of mods, Creepers are my greatest enemy since their explosions can still kill, even when fully armoured. :P

* I'd made numerous other bases and structures but these were the most prominent ones. All the rest are simpler for the most part, or not really that interesting. The Atlantis Project and Bio Station Beta II are definitely the two I was most proud of from my unmodded days.

* Typically nowadays, I play Minecraft using the Direwolf20 modpacks. I just started playing the most recent iteration of the pack using Minecraft v1.12, which is available from the Twitch Client, or through the legacy FTB Launcher. Direwolf20 himself is a prominent personality here on YouTube with daily Minecraft video uploads and you can find him over here: https://www.youtube.com/user/direwolf20
