Developed in the 48 hour game jam in Brisbane, Think of the Children was an instant hit both locally and online. It was immediately clear that there was something in it that has market potential. The only problem, they had never released a game before. It has been a very fast few months full of countless “unknown unknowns” but they have met every challenge head on. They have had to learn and adapt as fast as they are developing the game and this will be the primary focus of the talk.

This talk will cover the development of Think of the Children, how they took the game from the jam to its current state and where they are going. Topics include a debrief of taking the game to Pax South and RTX, what they have learned during development, publishing and many more.
