Alan Wake’s Content Creator Nightmare
Alan Wake is a cult classic for a reason. Developer Remedy Entertainment took an ambitious route when crafting the game, using psychological horror to reflect the internal conflict of a celebrity writer. It succeeds in that respect, but it also manages to be a place to project all sorts of struggles for creative types.
That’s what this video is about. Creating videos on YouTube comes with its own difficulties, and we used Alan Wake as a backdrop to talk about them. If you’re a creative person yourself, or simply a fan of Alan Wake and its many interpretations, then this one's for you.
If you’ve never played Alan Wake, then the 2021 remaster is the way to go -- that’s what we played for this video. It’s available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
