Alice: Madness Returns Part 9: I’ll Show you the Door, Mouse
0So, after meeting with Hatter and having climbed a rather tall tower using those steam vents that float in the air, we finally get to the first “Boss fight” of the game. I use the term Boss fight rather loosely here because it isn’t quite the typical boss fight, especially for a Hack-and-Slash styled game. Usually, they have these over the top fights with multiple phases that you have to take down and you usually end up with an item that will help you progress in the next level. That isn’t really the case at this point in the game; I hesitate to speak in absolutes because, knowing my crappy luck, there will probably a more traditional boss fight later down the road and I would rather not eat my words, they aren’t quite as delicious going back down than they are coming out. As of right now, we have to collect the Hatter’s arms from the Door Mouse who seems to be using them as generic handles that open the teapot that pours out some of the Tea. I really do wonder why they stole his appendages in the first place; are they more advance then the other machinery within the factory and does it help in the production of Tea? Maybe they explained this in the original game but I would’ve liked an explanation in this game so I knew why they were so important to the March Hare and Door Mouse.
