This first mission in this set starts with a stealth segment. The goal is to get past the helicopters without being spotted. There are three routes to take, middle, left, and right in order of easiest to hardest. However, the helicopters only look down, so despite the words of the operator, the easiest way past them is to fly. Just don't go above the canyon walls or you will leave the area. You can even land on the helicopter and avoid detection.

This mission chain has many hidden AC parts. One of which is in a crevice in the left route. This is the MWEM-R/36 extension, a very powerful extension missile that is worth getting. The MWG-SBZ/48 is also awarded if the stealth mission is completed undetected (destroying helicopters not allowed) within 50 seconds. Use the middle route and fly over the helicopters for this.

After the stealth section the fortress area is entered. There are enemy MT's and guard turrets surrounding the fortress that must be destroyed. The turrets are weak and not very threatening and the MT's are large and slow. The MT's do have heavy laser cannons which can deal damage if allowed to hit, but the biggest threat are their missiles. Close in and blade them or finish them from a distance with heavy guns. Clearing this second in under ~2 minutes unlocks the secret follow up mission Takeover New Fortress.

The secret mission can be accepted by opening the door on the North end of the fortress. You will have an ally AC for this mission and be tasked with the destruction of two AC's inside the fortress. The fortress interior is a large open space with two floor and a central shaft in the ceiling (shown in the short intro sequence). In this central shaft is the PLS-SRA02 FCS, one of the best parts in Silent Line. The AC fight is straight forward. Your enemies are Mileage, a light RJ and Seventh Heaven, a tank. Seventh Heaven is slower and easier to deal with. She also carries more firepower than Mileage and should be the priority, however killing the AC's in either order works. If you unlock this mission from the previous mission without destroying helicopters and keep your ally alive while having 75% or more AP at the end, you will get the CLB-LS-3771 laser blade, which surpasses even MOONLIGHT in attack power and is lighter but has short range.

The interior of the fortress is lined with glowing energy pipes that can be destroyed. When destroyed they cause the area to heat up, which can lead to your AC overheating and taking damage. Finishing the fight quickly will allow them to be ignored. Although there is a reward, the CWGG-GRS-30 grenade rifle, for destroying them all and completing the mission.
