In April 1720, imprisoned Edward is brought to Port Royal, Jamaica in order to witness the trial held for Mary Read and Anne Bonny who are to be executed via hanging for acts of piracy committed alongside Jack Rackham once he returned to piracy as well and who is already imprisoned and awaiting execution. During the trial, Edward is approached by Torres and Woodes Rodgers who became aware of his knowledge of the Observatory's location and came in order to offer him a deal; He'd tell them where the Observatory is in exchange for immediate release from prison, leaving him to think their offer over as judge prepares to say his final verdict to two female pirates. However, he is stopped as Mary reveals that both her and Anne are pregnant. As the result, judge still sentences them to death but agrees to stave the execution off until they give birth.

One night four months later, Edward is held in a gibbet near the outer perimeter of Port Royal prison and taunted by two guards who are promptly dispatched by Ah Tabai who reveals to have come to rescue Anne and Mary and while Edward won't owe him for saving him as well, he'd appriciate his help with the rescue with Edward agreeing to do so, being provided with hidden blades by the master assassin. Edward successfully fights his way into the prison fort and into the prison itself, finding Charles Vane, who has completely deattached himself from reality by that point, imprisoned as well. Edward eventually finds Mary and Anne, finding out that both women gave birth but that Mary is unwell and can barely stay awake. As he tries to lead her out of prison while Ah Tabai takes Anne, Mary urges Edward to stop, dying soon afterwards with Edward carrying her corpse to a boat where Anne and Ah Tabai are already waiting. Before they depart, Ah Tabai gives Edward new set of assassin robes, claiming that while he didn't earn them, they suit him...
