0Several weeks after Jack Rackham's betrayal, Edward and Charles Vane have ended up shipwrecked on an island called Isla Providencia with Edward doing his best to stay alive by hunting for food and looking for fresh water while Vane, who has gone mad due to the previous events, started stealing Edward's food and water, much to the latter's annoyance. One day, Vane once again steals more of Edward's food and retreats into jungle. Finally fed up with Vane's antics, Edward pursues him increasingly deeper into the jungle with Vane eventually revealing to have gathered some firearms and grenades, intending to use them to hunt Edward down since he blames him for an unfortunate chain of events that led up to their current predicament. After a chase, Edward manages to disarm Vane and confronts him about his insanity before walking off...
